About the Artist

Liuxing Johnston is a Chinese lesbian cartoonist based in New Jersey. Their work centers around the topics of death, grief, familial and romantic relationships, and coming of age within the context of transracial adoption and butch lesbian identity.

They are currently working on a graphic novel about the long term impact that childhood sexual assault can have on adult relationships and their yearly illustrated calendar that features their reoccurring cast of butch lesbian characters.
